The original "Island Packet" is refined with hull, deck and interior revisions and becomes the "Island Packet Mark II" (after 1983 known as the IP26 Mark II). The MKII is introduced at the Miami Show in February. This model also introduced the now famous Full Foil KeelŪ with the shoal keel/centerboard available as an option.
